Why would an organisation that knows so much about numbers and their use in the Bible choose to develop their structure around the number 6?

there is a large group of jehovah's witnesses that broke away from the watchtower society in the 1990s.
can someone explain to all the interested jwn lurkers and faders, why these romanian and other eastern european witnesses disfellowshiped the governing body in new york?.
i received a email from a member claiming to be part of this group, i was told they "disfellowshiped the governing body" for disobedience to jehovah god and not following the fine examples of brother russell, rutherford and knorr.
And this is a post from a Romanian ? who shed some inside light in this group a couple of years ago :
There are a several groups and individuals throughout Eastern Europe referring to themselves as "Jehovah's Witnesses" with differing opinions and theological stands. A lot of misinformation has been written about them, one being that they "only" use Rutherford's writings. That is untrue. Many use Russell's and Rutherford's writings, but most (but not all) will not use anything from Knorr or those after him.
One main reason for these groups is because of changes in Watchtower Corporation's doctrines. These countries were under communist or other governmental control and were out of touch with the Brooklyn Watchtower corporation. When they finally became free, they saw the many doctrinal changes Brooklyn made and were shocked.
You can get more information on a few other similar groups on our website at http://tfjw.org (True Friends of Jehovah's Way - True Faith Jehovah's Worshipers) under the "About" link. There is also a Romanian site for the "Christian Group of the Holy Way" at http://www.grupcaleasfanta.ro/ We are currently translating Sas Gavril's writings from that site to English and Slovak.
It should be understood there are many different groups such as these, with differing thoughts or certain levels of "strictness" or "liberty." Many are also similar to the old Bible Students of Russell's era, while others are more like Rutherford's group before 1942.
It should also be mentioned that not all who call themselves "True Faith" mean that they alone have the truth. A distinction has to be made, especially in certain areas of Eastern Europe as to which "JW" group is being referred to. Those who call themselves "True Faith Jehovah's Witnesses" or "True Faith Jehovah's Worshipers" consider the current Watchtower Corporation to be the "man of sin" espousing false doctrines.
Instead of "reformed", it is more of a "reorganized" set of groups, from the old days, before so many major doctrinal changes were made or discarded for others.

This is such an interesting story ! The Watchtower in the 2006 yearbook dedicated 100 pages to ROMANIA and they say nothing about this .Oh hold on ! They used again the same tactics of misinformation and slander and character assasination with the following comments :
Extract from Year book follows
"Satan Sows Seeds of MistrustThe Devil attacks God's servants not only from the outside but also from the inside. For instance, some brothers who were released in 1955 and who had held positions of oversight prior to their arrest were not restored to their former office. In response, they grew resentful and sowed seeds of discord. How sad that after standing firm in prison, they caved in to pride when set free! At least one prominent brother, in order to avoid punishment, even went so far as to cooperate with the Securitate, causing much harm to the faithful and to the preaching work.-Matt. 24:10."

The following is an extract of their website which is a REALLY an extract of a 1930's Watchtower and they use it as a direct attack against the GOVERNING BODY !!!
Evil Servant "He sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God." ( II Thessalonians chapter 2 ) The "man of sin" by his course of action "opposed and exalted himself on high against every one called God". (Rotherham) This he does by putting himself above what God's commandments require. He puts himself above Jesus Christ and exempts himself from being God's witness. Jesus was and is the Faithful and True Witness of Jehovah, and he has committed a portion of the testimony to his faithful followers and commands them to go forth and give a witness. The opposers set themselves up above Jesus Christ, refuse to obey the commandments and to bear the reproaches that came upon Jesus. They refuse to be "subject unto the higher powers", to wit, Jehovah and Jesus and the inspired apostles who set forth the commandments to God's people; and claim that "the higher powers" has reference to the governments of Satan's world. They are thus deceived and deceive themselves. - Matt. 10:24; Rom. 13:1.(The Watchtower, September 15 and October 1, 1930) |

After the Romanian ban was lifted, members and representatives of the Governing Body were able to meet thousands of long-separated Romanian Witnesses, but some Romanians still rejected certain changes and preferred their autonomy, forming The True Faith Jehovah's Witnesses Association in 1992. This group still exists today and this is their website http://the-true-jw.oltenia.ro/ From their home page it looks like they are a big group and well organised to have a mini convention?

conscious class : meetups or meetings?.
the current governing body has made sure with their policies that the kingdom halls are not a place to question or debate doctrine .sitting through these long sessions of indoctrination is very frustrating and debilitating for your spirit .that is why many of us turn to online forums ,websites and youtube to fill this void with useful information and association with like minded witnesses that go through the same process like we do .useful as it may be it can never replace the face to face interaction with other like minded ones .the words of paul come to mind in (hebrews10:25):"not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.".
having this verse in mind i have been trying for sometime to find a new medium that will give me this face to face interaction .i stumbled upon this great website meetup.com which i would highly recommend as a way to meet other ex or current jehovah's witnesses in your area that share your views .meetup helps people create groups that meet regularly in their area .because it is a a well known website and rank high on google search it is quite easy for others to find your group.

Unlike Facebook, administrators of a group have more privacy controls in their hands .As an administrator you contol who can be a member, who can see information, photos and posts about your group. This way no prying eye of an outsider can see the activities of your group .
I started a meetup in my area last month and we already have 13 members .Now let me tell you ,it took 70 years for my congragation to get 100 publishers so I think 13 members is a big success.I will keep you updated with the progress of this group and let you know what works for us and what doesn't .
Now a couple of points worth mentioning when it comes to forming a MEETUP group .
1. Name of the group: I try to target initially only ex and current Jehovah's Witnesses to form the core of this group ,so I named the group : (My city...i.e.New York) ex-Jehovah's Witnesses and faders group
2. Description of the group : I made sure to offer an invitation to all sincere Christians in the area ,or Christians that want to debate their faith ,so the description goes like this : The aim of this group is to engage Christians (any denomination is welcome) in debate over Bible doctrine and issues that affect all Christians today. Now the reason I did that is because I don't want to meet only like minded Witnesses but I want to test also my beliefs compare to the beliefs of other faiths and engage in a real debate with other Christians something I could never do in the door to door ministry.
3. Search results :So when you type on Google:"( your city)ex Jehovah's Witnesses the second top result is your Meetup group, this is very important because anyone who's looking for ex Jehovah's Witnesses in your area will come straight to you .So my listing looks like this :
4. (Your city...) ex-Jehovah's Witnesses and faders www.meetup.com/Your city-Bible-Debate-Group-open-to-al...Share The aim of this group is to engage Christians (any denomination is welcome) in debate over Bible doctrine and issues that affect all Christians today.
5. Waiting List:Now I said the second top result because THE FIRST TOP RESULT is even more interesting .The first result is a MEETUP waiting list for all those that for the past couple of years have registered their interest on Meetup to be part of an ex-JW group .So you have a ready and waiting audience to advertise your group!I find this feature fascinating .I found 37 people in my area already registered in that list. I contacted them all because Meetup makes it so easy providing a link that you can email them directly. This list is updated regularly so I go back there every now and then .
It is only the first month but I'm very optimistic and I really this is a great way forward .Don't keep it all inside ,get out there and do something about it .
I have created a directory of all meetup groups in the world on my website so if you're looking for a group or you formed a group drop me a line or have a look at the link at the bottom of this video.
yeah...it was wrong.
i got upset and blurted this truth.
seems kinda screwy that telling someone a truth could be wrong.
I was raised a JW and still are .Let me tell you that it is nearly impossible for the JW mind to start thinking differently.A JW is emotionally attached to a faith that he spend years devouting time and energy Be calm ,do not raise your voice. A good way to start him questioning is not showing him/her the errors in doctrine but the deliberate outright effort to hide the truth in publications i.e. Millions MAY never die ,the dissapearance of 1914 from the cover of AWAKE magazine .Just a thought
